SLIP Study

In Person Study!

The SLIP study is a longitudinal project expanding research on how sexual lubricant influence vaginal inflammation and immune responses during sexual arousal. Prior research has found that vaginal inflammation leads to irritation, which in turn can interfere with healthy sexual arousal. We are aiming to study how healthy microbes influence arousal by reducing vaginal inflammation.

This study is conducted in person at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and you must be 19 years of age or older and premenopausal to participate.

As of December 2025 we have stopped recruitment for the SLIP study so we can begin our analysis!

Please email wishlab@unl.edu if you are interested in participating in other related studies with our partner labs at UNL.
